With a peak at 2,810 meters Mount Roraima is the highest of Venezuela's distinctive table-top mountains, known as tepuis. The mountain marks the border between Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. The tabletop mountains of the park are considered some of the oldest geological formations on Earth, dating back to the Precambrian Era, some two billion years ago. The average height of the plateau is about 2,500 meters.
