About the New7Wonders of Nature
National Qualification
Since Jan 1., 2009 the national qualification phase is over, and you can vote for your chosen seven from the list of 261 qualified nominees. You can only vote one time with one e-mail address during each phase: so if you cast your votes during the first phase, you can vote again.
Call for Officially Supported Nominees!
To support your favorite nominees, get in touch with local authorities to make sure they form an Official Supporting Committee for the nominee.
Vote for your nominee!
Voting for nominees will continue through July 7, 2009. The top 77 nominees by group categories (the top 11 in each of the seven groups) will be eligible for consideration by the New7Wonders of Nature Panel of Experts, under the leadership of Prof. Federico Mayor, former Director-General of UNESCO. The Panel of Experts will review these 77 nominees and advise on the choice of the 28 Official Finalists, according to published criteria (see FAQ). The selection will be announced on 21 July 2009, and the 28 Official Finalists will then enter the third and final phase to vote and choose the Official New7Wonders of Nature.
New7Wonders of Nature World Tour
Voting will continue throughout 2010 and into 2011. During this time, the New7Wonders World Tour will aim to visit each of the 28 Finalists to allow them to present themselves to the voters across the globe.
The final declaration of the New7Wonders of Nature will be in 2011.

The change from man-made structures to treasures of nature
New7Wonders Founder and President Bernard Weber notes, “We are finding the New7Wonders of Nature campaign to be excitingly different from the first one. So many breathtakingly beautiful, natural places are still quite unknown to many. From waterfalls to fjords, rainforests to mountain peaks, freshwater lakes to salt flats, we are discovering together the incredible beauty and variety of our planet.”
